A REALISTIC APPROACH
Make your work understandable.
Search-based AI tools may retrieve web pages when answering questions. Clear public information helps readers and makes your work easier to interpret. Other AI answers may rely on older training data. Updating a page does not update a model’s training.
Google says its usual SEO practices also apply to AI Overviews and AI Mode. There is no special AI markup or extra AI text file required, and inclusion is never guaranteed. Other services have their own rules.
An example for an author
An individual book page can explain its premise, setting, genre, series position and available formats. A linked author page establishes who wrote it. Keep those details consistent with your publisher and retailer listings.
For a regional horror author, useful reader questions might include “Where is the story set?” and “Which book should I read first?” Answer naturally and accurately.
